The new iMac is here… Sort of!

The newly redesigned iMac goes on sale in the UK today! Well, the 21.5 inch model, anyway. It seems that Apple’s claim that they would be unable to ship the new iMacs before 2013 because of manufacturing complications was false – and we’re happy about it! The 27-inch model is yet to be released in the UK, though, so you’ll have to be patient!

With a sleek 5mm edge and 40% less volume than its predecessors, this latest design is innovative and stylish, but as functional as ever.

The Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) is thinner and more advanced. It uses a process called full lamination to get rid of the gap between the LCD and the glass, meaning the images pop out with vibrant, real colours.

The iMac is powered by third-generation Intel Core processors, meaning it’s the fastest one yet. The new storage option Fusion Drive combines a high-capacity hard drive with high-performance flash storage, so it skillfully manages your data, keeping it crisp and easy to use.
