Sierra, the newest operating system for Mac (10.12) was officially released yesterday, 20th September.

Apple has revealed that the operating system is now known as macOS.

Like with any newly released software or operating system it’s wise to remember that it’s expected to contain some bugs or issues with existing software. If you’re extremely eager to download macOS Sierra it’s worthwhile doing this on a machine which isn’t your primary computer, just incase you experience some problems along the way!

Optimised Storage:

Optimised storage for iCloud will automatically back up your older, rarely used files in iCloud keeping them available on demand, resulting in your storage going much further.

Apple Pay:

For those who already make purchases with Apple Pay, you’ll understand the ease and simplicity it has to offer! It’s the fast, easy and secure place to make online purchases. No need to enter long credit card numbers. Keep an eye out for Apple Pay on lots of your top sites and verify your purchases with Touch ID on your iPhone or by using your Apple Watch.

Siri for Mac:

Siri was introduced as a feature back in 2011, on the iPhone 4S. Now that it’s available on Mac with Sierra searching through documents will be effortless.

Memories:

Memories creates fascinating slideshows of your best photos so you can rediscover moments from the past which you may have forgotten!
