Summer Events in Buckinghamshire 2019

Here’s an assortment of summer events taking place in Buckinghamshire in 2019. We’ve also listed a few which are just outside of Bucks.

There’s something for everyone, from tennis to music and rowing to horse racing!

These events are the perfect opportunity to meet up with friends and family, be outdoors and enjoy the warm weather (fingers crossed!) and great atmosphere.

It’s advised that you book your tickets early as these popular events are expected to sell out fast.

The Boodles

If you’re a fan of Wimbledon or tennis then The Boodles at Stoke Park is certainly the place to go. Enjoy elite tennis in the picturesque grounds of Stoke Park. The Boodles is a spectacular annual event bringing world-class players to the courts. Last year’s line up included Alexander Zverev, Grigor Dimitrov, Nick Kyrgios and Juan Martin Del Potro.

Penn Fest

Festival fans prepare yourselves for Penn Fest! This 2 day family friendly festival has plenty to offer. The line up this year includes Scouting for girls, Craig David, Basement Jaxx DJ Set, Happy Mondays and Suede. As well as the music performances there will be a global artisan market, creative workshops plus a Kids Kingdom for children.

Marlow Pub in the park

Date: 17th – 19th May 2019

If you’re a foodie visit Pub in the Park for all-things food and drink, topped off with live music from Kaiser Chiefs, Gabrielle, David Gray, Texas, Jake Bugg, All Saints and more. There will be pop-up pubs and restaurants for you to explore. The line-up includes the likes of Tom Kerridge’s The Hand & Flowers and Heston Blumenthal’s “The Hind’s Head” plus many more.

Royal Ascot

Royal Ascot  is a great excuse to show off your best outfit and attend a spectacular day at the race course. This event dates back to 1711! Ascot Ladies’ Day is held on one of the five days, this year it will be on Thursday 20th June – dress to impress to stand out from the crowd.

Marlow Regatta

Marlow Regatta

The Rowing Regatta at Marlow has been part of the town since 1855. It’s a great day out for those participating, spectating or simply soaking up the atmosphere. There’s plenty going on throughout the day plus evening entertainment. You can book a picnic pitch and invite your friends and family along.

Henley Royal Regatta

The Henley Royal Regatta is an annual five day rowing event which was first held in 1839. This event attracts many people each year. There is a strict dress code to abide to so if you’re attending ensure you follow the requirements.
