Sage report hangs when sending to email
Here at Nexus we were recently working on a client server when they were having an issue with Sage.
In Sage 50 Accounts when exporting a layout to Outlook it hangs.
After numerous calls with Sage Support we worked out how to resolve the issue.
It turns out there was a problem with the report.
Here is a guide on how to fix this problem:
Report Designer v1.4
1. Select the required layout > Edit > Report menu > Report Properties > enter a new layout name and description > Enter.
2. Report menu > Email Settings > To > Edit > Clear > enter SALES_LEDGER.E_MAIL > OK > OK > OK.
3. Report menu > Filters > Clear > OK.
4. File > Save As > File name > enter a new file name > Save > File > Exit.
Report Designer v1.3 and below
1. Select the required layout > Edit > Properties pane > Name > enter a new layout description > Enter.
2. Properties pane > Email Options > To > Edit > Clear > enter SALES_LEDGER.E_MAIL > OK > OK > OK.
3. Data > Filters > Clear > OK.
4. File > Save As > File name > enter a new file name > Save > File > Exit.
Your new layout should now run correctly.
