Counterfeit Alcohol Found In Buckinghamshire

Trading Standards Officers have seized 29 bottles of counterfeit alcohol from four different locations in Denham, High Wycombe and Buckingham.

Bootleg alcohol is likely to contain methanol, commonly a solvent used to remove substances like paint and adhesives. Methanol is poisonous, and consumption can lead to severe stomach upset, breathing difficulties, comas and potentially death.

If you’re in the Buckinghamshire area and suspect that an outlet is selling bootleg alcohol, call 08454 040506 to report it.
