Can’t open mail profiles on RDS Server 2012 R2 (we found a bug!)

We had recently built some RDS Servers for a client with office 2013 installed via the deployment tool and came across the following error.

Issue Description
Mail won’t open from control panel on RDS server 2012 R2

Issue Resolution
It’s a known issue and MS product and development team is working on the get this issue fixed. This took us a few hours of calling so we hope it saves you all some time!

The current workaround is the following:

Open RUN and enter: Outlook /Profiles

Then ->click on new and create new profile if required
