The Gerrards Cross Fun Run 2014
The village’s biggest fund raising event is back on 11th May 2014!
The Gerrards Cross Fun Run is a biennial event that’s been running (no pun intended!) for the past 13 years. As usual, the race is a 5km course around the East Common and surrounding areas of Gerrards Cross.
It is open to 1500 people and all ages and abilities are welcome. There is also a children’s race open to kids between the ages of 4 and 9.
The aim is to raise money for local charities, and this year the event will be supporting Kids in Sport, a charity that helps children to participate in sporting activities who otherwise wouldn’t have the chance.
The Fun Run is also supporting Home-Start, which helps parents to provide for their children while overcoming disability, illness and other complications.
So far, the Gerrards Cross Fun Run has raised over £215,000 for charity.
