The Chequers Inn – Wooburn Common
Book a room at the Inn if you want to escape and take advantage of a tranquil weekend. Otherwise simply visit and enjoy a drink in the garden or food from a selection of different dishes. Its spacious garden area and pleasant staff will make you feel relaxed. On sunny Summer days you can enjoy food from the BBQ. The Chequers Inn is a lovely place to take the whole family.
The Old Orchard is like a hidden secret. Slightly tucked away in Harefield but with its beautiful scenery you will not be disappointed. The location is fantastic overlooking the glistening lake – you can see people sailing from the distance. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, a great place to take your loved one, family or to catch up with friends. Your mouth will be watering whilst reading their delicious Sunday Roast menu. This place also does BBQs when the weather is good!
Conveniently situated opposite High Wycombe train station is the Bootlegger. Renowned for being a premier craft and speciality beer pub. You’ll feel welcomed by its friendly staff and thriving atmosphere.
Its large decked area and lawn offers plenty of space for everyone. Before visiting it’s just worth noting that although food isn’t served here, you are more than welcome to bring along your own food or order in from a local takeaway meaning that the possibilities are endless!
Set in the heart of Fulmer is the Black Horse, a 17th century craftsman’s cottage. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner pop in whichever best fits around your schedule. A great place to visit not only in Winter but Summer too! Sit indoors or outdoors with the choice of outdoor seating area at the front and rear of the pub, and enjoy the BBQs in the Summer. Immerse yourself in its blend of traditional village charm and renewed stunning decor. Its interesting layout indoors allows you to choose a table in a more secluded spot if you prefer or comfortable dining room.
The Royal Standard – Forty Green, Beaconsfield
If you haven’t yet visited then you must stop by England’s Oldest Freehouse Pub, The Royal Standard in Forty Green. This picturesque pub situated in breath-taking countryside will whisk you back in time with its traditional, medieval feel. Mesmerise yourself amongst its treasures, trophies and ghosts of the past – there’s tons to explore! Fill yourself up on one of many hearty dishes and select a drink from its plentiful beers.
