The Gerrards Cross Festival of Lights
On Wednesday (the 5th), we had the pleasure of setting up a stall for the annual Gerrards Cross Rotary Christmas Fayre. It was a great evening, and it gave us a fantastic opportunity to get to know the locals and let them know what we do and how we can help them – we’re your local IT support and repair specialists!
We gave out (a lot) of hot mulled wine, as well as Nexus pens, balloons and leaflets (if you missed out, don’t worry, pop into the office: we’ve got plenty!) Although the night was freezing cold, the Christmas spirit really kept everyone warm.
Other local businesses were handing out cookies, USB sticks and even silly string, which was well and truly lapped up by the children! British Olympian Denise Lewis switched on the Christmas lights and local school choirs sang Christmas carols – everybody had a blast and it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
The highlight of our stall was our Nexus Christmas Competition. In our blog over at Nexus Design Consultancy, we said that if you came to visit our stall, you’d automatically be entered into our grand prize draw to win an iPad Mini. We designed a nifty little postbox for everyone to slot their details into, and the response was overwhelming.
A whopping 140 people entered the competition, and now each one of them is in with a chance to win a brand new iPad Mini! If you’d be interested in entering, read the rules here, or pop into the office and put your details into our postbox – it’s filling up fast!
We can’t wait for next year’s festivities! Who knows what our stall will hold? Did you visit the Festival of Lights? What did you think? Let us know in the comments!
