Quick Tip: How to Pin Items to a Windows 7 Taskbar
Do you have applications and files that you use frequently, but have to fuss around to find in the first place? Why not pin them to the taskbar (the bar along the bottom of your computer screen)? Here’s how:
If the program or file is already open and running, you’ll see its icon appear in the taskbar already. All you have to do is right-click on the item and select ‘Pin this program to taskbar’. Now, even when the application is closed, it will remain on the taskbar, meaning you can access it easily in future.

If the program isn’t open, simply find its icon in the start menu, right click it and select ‘Pin to Taskbar’.

Do this for applications that you use on a day-to-day basis, or important documents that you need to remember. It’s quick, easy and will mean that you won’t run the risk of faffing in future!
