Gerrards Cross Rotary Christmas Fair 2012
It’s that magical time of year again! Yes, the Gerrards Cross Christmas Festival is back on Wednesday 5th December 2012, so make sure you save the date in your diary!
Hosted annually by the Rotary Club of Gerrards Cross and Chalfont St. Peter in Buckinghamshire, the evening is full of fun and festivities. The shops, restaurants and bars you know and love will keep their doors wide open to the public late into the evening. Bring your friends and families along to join in with the action – there’ll be refreshment stalls, unique business offers, and some fantastic choir singing from the local school children! There’s even a surprise visit from a truly astounding British Olympian!
For Nexus IT Support & Repair – your local PC, Laptop and Apple Mac repair ad support specialists – this will be our third year at the Gerrards Cross Rotary Christmas Festival, and we’re eager to join in with the Christmassy community spirit following last year’s success. Keep an eye out for the yellow balloons and Nexus logo on Station Road between Andrew’s Plaice and Lords DIY Store. We’ll be serving up masses of mulled wine and offering free IT advice, so be sure to come and say hello!
To help you get in the mood, we’ve included a schedule for the evening, so you know exactly what’s happening at all times:
5:45pm – School children to gather outside of the Guide Hut.
6pm – British Olympian Denise Lewis to switch the Christmas lights on. School children begin singing Christmas Carols while special competition forms are handed out to children and their parents.
6:15pm – A fire engine will sound when the singing stops. Andrews Band will begin playing outside of Andrew’s Plaice, the fish and chips shop.
6:30pm – Brass Band begins playing outside Tesco.
7pm – St James Church hosts a flash mob and a series of rock carols.
7:30pm – Rock Choir begins outside Tesco.
The turnout last year was remarkable, and we’re hoping you’ll join us to make this year even better! We look forward to seeing you there!
