The Gerrards Cross Christmas Festival 2013
On Wednesday 4th December, our local village held its annual Christmas Festival, courtesy of the Rotary Clubs of Gerrards Cross & Chalfont St Peter and Misbourne Matins. We were proud sponsors of the event.
We set up a stall laden with free pens, candy canes and leaflets, and it certainly proved to be popular – hundreds of people came to see us and it was a fantastic opportunity to chat to the locals and let them know our services.
It was a freezing cold December night, with temperatures teetering on below zero, but we kept the locals warm with our fruity spiced mulled wine!
Other local businesses around the village were giving away mince pies, snacks and hot drinks. There were even a few raffles and tombolas – including our Christmas Raffle Competition to win a Hudl tablet and a free computer lesson! We had over 150 entrants and our lucky winner has since been announced.
Legendary English actor Robert Lindsay graced us with his presence for the evening and turned on the beautiful Christmas lights. Local school choirs kept spirits high with Christmas carols, and the atmosphere was truly vibrant – it really brought the community together.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s Christmas Festival! Did you attend this year? Let us know what you thought in the comments!
