Chalfont Feast Day 2016
The Feast Day in Chalfont St Peter is the perfect day for the whole family. The date to add to your diaries is Saturday 25th June 2016 and it starts at 10am.
This annual event brings together the whole community and the turnout of people is always overwhelming (in a good way!) The atmosphere is joyful and many come along to absorb the friendly vibes.
The Fair came about following a Right being granted in 1229 to hold an annual Fair in Chalfont St Peter, on the occasion of St Peter’s Day.
There will be a variety of entertainment alongside activities, stalls, food and drink.
There’s plenty of amusements:
- Medieval Knights
- Morris Dancing
- Dog Show
- Fun Fair
- Petting Farm
- Punch & Judy
- Choirs
- Dance Displays
- Gymnastic Displays
- Musical Entertainment
- Beer Tent
If the sun is shining it’s the perfect excuse to pack a picnic and relax. There’s plenty to keep the children occupied and having fun. During the evening there’s usually a band playing which goes down well with the adults who like to sing along or get up and dance!
The Feast Day in 2015 was a great success. The weather was spectacular and everyone enjoyed themselves.
We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the sun will make an appearance at this year’s Feast Day. Remember to pack your picnic and sun cream and most of all have a wonderful time!
