Amersham in Buckinghamshire is known for having a rural feel to it whilst only being a short train ride into London – people who live here can experience the best of both.

An eye-catching pub on the outskirts of Chalfont St. Giles situated on the A413 as you head towards Amersham.
The Ivy House was built around 250 years ago, originally a coaching inn that apparently had some suspicious visitors in its early days. This pub has some history with talks of ghost stories seen by members of staff.
Enjoy the outside seating area surrounded by stunning countryside whilst you tuck into a dish from their seasonal menu of fresh, locally sourced dishes.

Elephant and Castle (Amersham)
The Elephant and Castle has a good-sized beer garden. If you’re feeling peckish order from their selection of juicy burgers and stone-baked pizzas. Beer lovers will be pleased to know they offer a fantastic range of local cask ales and craft beers.
The building dates back to the 17th century and is named in honour of Edward I and Eleanor of Castile’s marriage.
