There’s a variety of Christmas events taking place in Buckinghamshire in the run up to Christmas.

Gerrards Cross Christmas Fair 2018
The Gerrards Cross Christmas Fair will be returning on Wednesday 5th December 2018.
This year Tom O’Connor will be turning on the town’s Christmas lights at 5:30pm in front of Waitrose on Station Road.
It’s an evening bursting with Christmas spirit and it brings the local community together. Sip on some hot mulled wine and browse through the town, plus it’s a great opportunity to do some Christmas shopping. A variety of stalls are set up along Station Road and many of the shops are open for late night shopping and nibbles. There’s rides to keep the children entertained and delicious food stalls to grab a bite to eat.
The Gerrards Cross Christmas Fair is a fantastic evening for the whole family to enjoy, so make sure you add the date into your diaries and come along to absorb the Christmas atmosphere.
Chalfont St Peter Christmas Fair 2018
This year the Chalfont St Peter Christmas Fair will be taking place on Friday 7th December 2018.
This is a fun Christmas evening which normally runs from 6pm to 8:30pm. Shops are open for late night shoppers, stalls are set up along Market Place plus there’s fun fair rides to keep the children entertained.
There’s also food and drink stalls so you can grab a bite to eat and sip on a hot drink to keep warm.
The Chalfont St Peter Christmas Fair is a wonderful evening to attend in the run up to Christmas. It’s a great opportunity to engage with the local community and businesses and to get yourself into the Christmas spirit!
Beaconsfield Christmas Fair 2018
This year the Beaconsfield Christmas Fair is set to take place on Wednesday 12th December 2018 from 6pm to 9pm.
This wonderful Christmas evening has plenty to offer. There will be various stalls, stage performances, pipe bands, a lantern parade and of course a visit from Santa!
It’s a great evening for adults and children alike so bring along the whole family.
There’s also fairground rides for children, a bouncy castle, a laser light show plus food stalls and a charity BBQ.

The main roads of Beaconsfield New Town will be closed from 5:30pm – 9:00pm.

Marlow Christmas Lights Switch on 2018
The Marlow Christmas lights switch-on is set to take place on Thursday 22nd November 2018.
Marlow’s Christmas lights will be switched on by TV presenter, mechanic and motor specialist Edd China.
Edd will do the switch-on from the top of a double-decker bus positioned outside the Chequers pub on Marlow High Street. The town will be feeling very festive! Snow will fall as the countdown begins, there will also be carols and music around the bus. This event attracts many people to the town. Why not make an evening of it and enjoy dinner in one of the local restaurants or a drink in one of the bars or coffee shops?
Marlow High Street will be closed from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm. The switch-on ceremony will take place at 6:30pm.
Marlow late night shopping event 2018
Marlow’s late night shopping event is on Thursday 6th December 2018 from 6pm – 9pm. The High Street will be closed to traffic from 1:30pm – 10pm.
Shops will be open late and there’s also stalls, food and not forgetting Santa in his Grotto! There will also be live reindeer and entertainment throughout the evening. Nativity characters with animals parade up the High Street and end at the crib in the Church in Spittal Street.
Carols on the Causeway 2018
This event will take place in Marlow on Thursday 13th December 2018, starting at 6pm to visit Santa in his Grotto and the carol singing will commence at 6.30pm.
Chesham Christmas Lights Switch on 2018
The town’s Christmas lights are switched on by the Mayor. This year it will be taking place on Friday 30th November. At 6pm the High Street and Market Square are filled with stalls and fairground rides for children. Father Christmas can be found in his sleigh near the clock tower.
There is a musical procession down the High Street to the stage, located near Sainsbury’s. Once the lights are switched on, a variety of local musicians and performers take centre stage to delight the crowds throughout the evening.
Flackwell Heath Christmas 2018
On Saturday 24th November 2018 there will be a children’s tea party taking place at the Flackwell Heath Community Centre.
Denham Village Green Christmas 2018
Denham Village Christmas Carols will be taking place on Friday 7th December 2018 between 6pm – 7pm on the Village Green in Denham Village.
