Fight Fraud with The Little Book of Big Scams
We’ve posted numerous blogs highlighting the dangers of Internet fraud, including our post on 5 Free Tools to Protect Your Privacy. The Internet isn’t the only place to be scammed, though. This week, Thames Valley Police has published a booklet to help curb fraudulent behavior. The Economic Crime Unit (ECU) has written The Little Book of Big Scams and aims to educate the public on scamming and how to avoid falling prey to fraud online and off.
The booklet includes hints, case studies and methods of preventing fraud. It even comes with a foreword from beloved journalist and presenter Esther Rantzen, CBE!
Becoming the victim of a scam can be tough. Fraud costs the British economy £73 billion per annum, so it’s important to stay up-to-date with scamming techniques and how to avoid them. If you’d like to learn more, you’ll find the PDF copy of the booklet by clicking here.
