Books are, for the most part, separated into three segments: front matter, head text, and back issue. Front matter is the material at the front of a book that typically offers data about the book. In book designing, the foremost text is the meat of a book. The back issue is the last pages of a book, where endnotes, the reference section, the catalog, the file, and related components dwell. However, the front matter may not be as provocative as the principal text or as data stuffed as the back issue, and it’s a chance for writers to establish the vibe for their perusers’ insight.
