In book designing, the foremost text is the meat of a book. The back issue is the last pages of a book, where endnotes, the reference section, the catalog, the file, and related components dwell. However, the front matter may not be as provocative as the principal text or as data stuffed as the back issue, and it’s a chance for writers to establish the vibe for their perusers’ insight.
