Last night I received a bizarre text message claiming to be from Argos.

The message said ‘We are in the process of increasing your credit limit by GBP 2500.00 but would like you to confirm your address at agros.1uah.com’

I don’t have an Argos credit card so knew straight away that this was not legitimate! I also know not to click on any suspicious links.

Companies will never ask you to provide your personal information. The best thing to do is ignore and delete any messages like this one.

Has anyone else received this text or one similar?

It’s worth being careful and not following the link even if you know it’s a scam.

There have been exploits on Apple devices in the past (2016) that will send all of your message text message content to the hacker and potentially give them access to your iPhone!

More info on the exploit here

Always best to simply delete anything out of the ordinary that arrives on your iPhone.

    Is this still going around?
